On DiGi-PASSION’s 2nd anniversary it came to my mind “Which is the oldest blog out there?” So I Googled “The oldest blog” and “Oldest Blogger blog” but surprisingly could not find anything specific (Except a Wikipedia entry on “Blog” which describes some prehistoric blogs that are dead now). After much effort I found nothing and gave up. However it continued to pinch me the whole day and in the evening suddenly I found it and you know where? right in my Blog-roll, yes you hear it right and it is my friend Jody Donnelly’s blog – jodydonnelly.com (Personal blog of a German girl). Guess how much old it is? 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 years. Nope, it is 15 years old (From 1995), way before Blogger and even Google was born. Now that is the oldest blog I know and that is still live and buzzing. Moreover I am proud to be in her blog-roll.
Do you know about any such blog that is older or contemporary to it? Do share it here.
UPDATE: Unfortunately the above domain has expired now!!! When I checked it recently (March 28th, 2011) the page was showing as GoDaddy’s parked domain. However, blog’s facebook page is still there. I don’t know what happened to Jody and her valuable blog?
