Bad news are aplenty for Symbian users these days, the latest one being that OPDA (and countless similar sites) has stopped working to give them an IMEI specific cer/key file, required to sign an unsigned app sis/sisx file. In fact cer/key files are also necessary to hack the phone (signing required at least once of cert_hack_installer.sis or Helloox sis – files required to hack the phone).
This “loss of function” is the result of recent changes made by “Symbian Signed” (the official Symbian certificate issuer) in the rules and regulation of cer/key file generating process. Actually all OPDA type sites used their Symbian Signed accounts to generate the certificates. I myself applied for cer/key file (for my swanky new N8) at many such sites earlier this month but still to get one (the status showing as pending forever).
Hopefully this change is temporary and these sites resume their services soon.

same problem here. i bought a n8, now without these certificate…it is useless.
registered in many sites with the cert maker…but remains pending.
unfortunately i bought n8 on the 24th of June, 2011.

i have a symbiansigned.com account.and there is an option to download developer certificate and key.i have downloaded it but still that cer&key is are not working.error “constraint by certificate” what to do ???Please help me

u can get ur cert and key from http://www.nokioteca.net/forum its an Italian site buh the bad news is symbian sign have added new rules to cert and keys and as such it cant be used to sign most application e.g justhackit or even helloox2.11

This is because some now rules n procedure is used by symbian certification.

but when im installing it is saying(Nokia C7)…

can i install this?

“Contrained by certificate” warning means that the sis file has already been signed with another phone’s IMEI so make sure to install unsigned apps and the signed apps (which have been signed by a universal IMEI certificate) only….

i tried a lot to get certif. & key from OPDA & similar cert issuing sites for nokia 5233,5800,but in vain. Now OPDA has perminantly seased to issue certif’s. Plz help

I bought a new symbian set but after struggling one month i did not got any certificate so i sold it back
It seem to me so stupid to keep that set without those applications i had on my previous cell phone 
i think symbian will loose its market if they continue to put restrictions
