This is an older article, as it's 2013 now - but I've stumbled across this because I couldn't download/save any pictures from Opera Mini on my iPhone.

Indeed, I was the goof. iPhone OS now permits the user (iPhone holder) to grant permission and access to 'photos' under the "Privacy" section under Settings. It's under Settings > Privacy > Photos. From here you can toggle on/off what apps can access your photos, and if that is what you're trying to download, with that setting toggled 'off' for Opera, no dice.

Simply toggle this setting 'on', and you're back in business.

Cheers.

Neither of the two above methods work on a new 808 phone purchased 2/2013, firmware 1507.

Neither method installs anything that can be seen in the menu. The second one manages to install a piece of rubbish which is a little object that floats above the menu which when pressed starts up a kind of dialing app. I managed to uninstall that app from under Settings/Installations (it had an obvious Chinese name).

Absolutely safe dear! rest assured. Unsigned file does not mean that its a malware/virus, it modifies system files to mute camera sound thats it. None of your phone data will be hacked or available to others I assure you so do not worry.

I also encountered '\sys\bin\Patcher*LDD not found!' on ROMPatcher.
The confusing part is the 'mass storage' and 'memory card'.
A note to those who want to apply this hack.
If 'Quarantine_F_drive.zip' doesn't work, try 'Quarantine_E_drive.zip'.
It will surely work!

Yes Dr. Shoaib Siddiqui, R.I.P. SymbianSigned!!!
Thanks for your very much details guide.

You can flash another firmware of the same variant on your phone (no debranding required) but it is risky as this may brick the phone. So if you can take some risk then go ahead.

Hi,

I have E72 and firmware 053.001 which I am having some problems with it. Ovi suite says that is up to date, but is not, the latest one is 091.003.
I know that the operator stopped supporting it. In variants window I can see my product code when i chose 053.001 firmware, from there down I can not see the it. So what have I chose from variants is I want to update to the latest firmware?
I red that I have to debrand it first to be able to get the latest firmware.
I do not know how.
Any help is welcome.

Codes will not reset by this method. You will have to use JAF software to reset security/lock codes.
