Huawei Honor 6 gets Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update with EMUI 4.0

Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update is rolling out now for Huawei Honor 6
Honor 6, Huawei’s flagship of 2014, is now getting Android’s latest version as OTA (Over The Air) software update in many parts of the world. Our Indian variant Honor 6 got the Android 6.0 Marshmallow system update recently. OTA update is just over 700MB in size with the build H60-L04C675B810 and Feb. 5 build-date.

Huawei Honor 6 MM Update

Honor 6 MM Update

Honor 6 was a powerful device (3 GB RAM and an Octa-core CPU at that time) and Android MM further improves its overall performance and user experience. Along with all the Android MM goodies (improved security, notifications, battery life etc) this update also brings in the new EMUI 4.0 (Emotion UI – Huawei’s custom UI) and the February Android security patch to Honor 6. However we are not sure whether this update is available for all Honor 6 units or just for those who applied for the update last year. The update may not be available in all countries right now but rest assured it will hit your device very soon. Especially the carrier bound variants may have to wait a little longer. You can check for the update via Settings, keep checking daily if not available still.

We will update this post with the details of new features and changes after a while so stay tuned.
