Latest Top-9, High-end Android Smart phones (July 2017)

Mobile technology is evolving at an astonishing pace these days. Mobile trends are changing so fast, it is quite difficult to keep track of all the advances in the field. Mobile manufacturers (mostly Chinese) have mushroomed over the past 3 years. As a result new phones are launched on almost daily basis around the world. Despite all this growth-spurt, flagships or the top-of-the-line device portfolio still remains somewhat limited. Only one or at most two high-end flagship phones are launched by most companies every year. In this post we try to maintain a list of the current breed of flagship mobile phones. It was first published in 2012 when Quad-core Android phones (Galaxy S3, LG Optimus G etc) were dominating the flagship scene. Now you can imagine how much the scenario has changed in a short span of time.

Shouldn’t the Nokia E7 be added to this list? The processor’s not as powerful but the OS is less bloated so I figure it’s roughly equivalent. Also the fact that it has a real keyboard and comes with quickoffice, mail for exchange and HDMI out makes it pretty high end.

      Dear Steve,
This is an endless discussion and being a Symbian fan I wish I could have included N8 or E7 in the above list but I also know it would have been wrong. The whole thing will clear for you if you compare E7 (slow and buggy OS, only single-core 680 MHz CPU, low 360×640 pixels resolution and many more cons) with any 4 inches screen phone from the above list.
