Yes, you read that right, a whopping 41 MP cameraphone is real! Nokia stunned the mobile-world and its competitors at MWC in Barcelona today by announcing the new imaging flagship Belle phone called Nokia 808 Pure View. It is one hell of an announcement that belittled every headline of MWC, 2012. Nokia fans were expecting an imaging phone from the Finnish giant this year but they never thought of this caliber. Symbian fans now have another reason to prove that their beloved OS has limitless capabilities of supporting extreme hardware and specs.
Nokia 808 PureView is the successor to an aging Nokia N8 (12 Mpix) which is still an industry standard in camera prowess and capabilities. Considering the fact that most of the powerful, high end Android/iOS smartphones are still having a meager 8 Megapixel camera, Nokia with Pure View has fast forwarded at least two years ahead. 41 Mpix for mobile camera is a resolution that is definitely way ahead of its time. In a nutshell Nokia is on the right track of success now. Have a look at PureView specifications below –
4 inches, AMOLED, ClearBlack, Capacitive multi-touch display (640 x 360 nHD resolution), edge-to-edge screen design with S60v5 like three physical keys below display
