Good news for Nokia 500 owners as Belle update is now officially available for their device as well (released today). Nokia 500 was the only Symbian Anna phone that did not get Belle on 7th Feb. However, as promised, Nokia rolled the new update for this “uncharacteristic” phone within 10 days. Belle firmware version for Nokia 500 (SW v111.20.59) is somewhat different from the one available for other Symbian^3 phones (v111.30.609). As is the case with other phones, Belle for Nokia 500 is released in most parts of the world (except carrier-bound devices). You may check yourself here at the official Nokia page whether Belle is available for your product code. Besides you may also check it at Navifirm.
How to update Nokia 500 to Belle?
If you have Nokia 500 (having any older firmware version) then you can update it to Nokia Belle via latest Nokia Suite (v3.3.86). Connect your phone to PC (in Ovi Suite mode) via data cable and run Nokia Suite. Wait for some time as Nokia Suite detects the phone. When it is shown as connected, go to “Tools/Software updates” or click the SW Update icon. Wait for a while as Nokia Suite checks for available updates. When Belle appears as update, click update button and wait for the process to complete.
Note that Belle is not available Over the air or via Nokia Software Updater (NSU)
