Remove WAT – Free Activator Software to make Windows XP, 7, 8, 8.1 genuine forever

Remove WAT – Easy & Best crack to Activate Windows 7, 8, XP, 8.1 & 10 Free

WAT Remover (by Hazar) is a simple software solution to permanently activate any Windows (Starter, Home Basic, Pro, Ultimate) installation, making it genuine forever. As the name indicates, WAT Remover disables (keeps a copy as backup though) Windows 7’s inbuilt WAT (Windows Activation Time) process. WAT system is responsible for keeping track of evaluation time and activation process of a Win 7 installation. After the evaluation period of Windows is over, WAT keeps reminding the user of activation by frequent pop-up notifications. If not activated for long, WAT system then changes the desktop wallpaper to black background and the torture continues in one form or the other. All this exercise is to compel the user to buy a valid license key from Microsoft. But not everyone can buy Windows, damn it! And what about the scenario when someone loses an expensive genuine license of Windows due to any fu****g reason?

Remove WAT is a life saver in such situations. It makes any Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 installation (Starter, Home Basic, Professional & Ultimate) genuine within a minute. It is the easiest and best way out to crack Windows 7 Activation system – works even when other such methods (Loader, vldr, PARADOX, StopTimer crack etc) fail. Other activation methods do not work in some laptops/desktops having specific BIOS, for example in my Acer laptop with Insyde H2O BIOS. Hell! I tried every possible crap to get Windows 7 Ultimate activated on it, but no use. Interestingly every method ran fine displaying message of “Operation Successful, Restart System”. But after restart Windows Activation Status still shows “xx days left to activate”. Finally I tried this “WAT Remover” tool and it worked like a magic – solved this problem once and for all. No activation countdowns, no “This copy of Windows is not genuine” watermark and no irritating “Activate Windows now” balloon notifications. And the best thing is that no other Windows system file or setting is changed by this process which means you will get all the Windows updates from Microsoft as usual.

How to use Remove WAT to activate Windows 7?

So to get freedom from Windows activation woes, download the zip file from the link given at the end of this post and extract the WAT Remover app. Take my words, IT IS NOT A VRUS, TROJAN, MALWARE, SPYWARE as some anti-virus softwares might report it. I assure you it’s a false alarm if your computer’s anti-virus marks WAT Remover as a threat. This happens because it is created by an independent developer with no trusted signature embedded. Anti-virus softwares check software signatures to authenticate them as trusted. So do not worry about any warning your dumb anti-virus gives about WAT Remover. If the anti-virus does not allow WAT Remover to run then disable it (the anti-virus) first.

Now run the application as Administrator (right click on RemoveWAT file and select “Run as administrator”)

Now click “Remove WAT” button

Confirm when asked

Wait for the process to complete and confirm restart

Done!! Welcome to your activated Windows!

To confirm that “WAT” is removed, right click on “My Computer” and select “Properties”. If the process was successful there will not be any “Windows Activation Status” info as earlier. You can also restore the removed “WAT” via this tool, if required later on – but I don’t know why you would do that!

I have successfully used this tool to activate Windows XP and Win 7 Ultimate in multiple computers. Many users have reported that it worked for them in activating Windows Vista, Win 8, Win 8.1 and even the latest Windows 10 also. So try it in your PC and let others know if it worked for you via comments.

NOTE: If Windows somehow (after update or else) again starts to show as non-genuine and prompt for registration at start up, then you will have to restore the WAT first and repeat the above process once again. For this

  • Run RemoveWAT as Administrator
  • Click “Restore WAT” – wait for the process to complete
  • Restart computer
  • Run Remove WAT (as Administrator) again
  • Click “Remove WAT” – wait for the process to complete and done! Windows is genuine again. You can repeat this process as many times as required in the future.

Download Free RemoveWAT (4.4 MB zip)

Update (September 2014) – Unfortunately has deleted the above Remove WAT file from my hosting account. “It is due to a DMCA complaint filed by Microsoft”, according to Box. Wow! Fu**@# MS! So now the only way left for you to get Remove WAT is – just use the comment form (or the form at “Contact Us” page) at the end of this post to reach us along with your working email address. I will send you the new download link of Remove WAT. Please understand, I can’t give the new download link here as they will again file a DMCA complaint against the concerned file hosting site and it will be deleted yet again.

Update – You may also refer to this post for a new Windows 8 activator.

I upgraded my genuine Win 7 Basic to Ultimate online, and thought Great! Didn’t know I’d have to validate with a new key within 30 days, and tried dozens of useless keys before coming across your site and the ‘WAT Remover’ fix during research. It works great thanks and I’m truly grateful.

    This works fantastically.

No bullshit, no problems, no virus. Not even warnings, which surprised me.

I will be posting here if I encounter any problems on the long run, but it seems to do the job perfectly for now.

  8. Blockbuster999 July 27, 2014 at 2:08 PM #

wow, just wow, worked perfectly. if it says wat is already removed you may need to restore wat then remove it again for it to work.
and antivirus will sometimes say the software is a virus, but that’s because it changes the wat files.

ass****, you removed the download link. Typical scammer!

    • Roohi October 13, 2015 at 11:51 PM #

You would have got the software by now if a valid email was submitted with your comment. I send download link of WAT Remover to 5-10 email addresses on an average per day. Unfortunately you could not differentiate between a scammer and a genuine blogger.
P.S. – Comment with your working email ID and I will provide you the download link.

after one year windows 7 activator does not work, how can i store them without corrupting the software???

    • Martin December 16, 2015 at 9:20 PM #

You could try to run the WAT remover 2.2.6 again. First use the option restore WAT, and restart. Then run it again remove wat. Also make sure to remove the MS update KB971033 it performs a validation process for the copy of windows that is running on your computer..

  17. KiA January 11, 2016 at 8:04 AM #

I just tried to run WAT Remover (as administrator) however every time I get the message “Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item”.
Where could be the problem? I have Win 7 Ultimate.

    • Roohi January 14, 2016 at 12:35 AM #

It looks like your Antivirus or Windows Defender is causing problem. Turn off any such software in your PC before running WAT Remover.

      It hardly takes few minutes.

  21. Rick Barbitta October 26, 2016 at 1:08 PM #

I am having the same problem with my PC as other folks. The message keeps popping up. This copy of windows is not genuine. Windows 7 Build 7601 (I am using Windows 7 Professional.). I did the command prompt as administrator and the slmgr/rearm thing 3 times. I even modified the reset for the rearm thing through the regedit.exe file. . It worked for a while. But now it won’t work anymore. And it is now saying I have to reinstall Windows 7 again. I have researching about this and I am reading a lot about this Remove WAT v Software. What I have read about this software has been pretty good but I have also heard of a program called Windows Loader v 1.9.3 from DAZ. that claims it is a better software program to use with Windows 7 Pro 32 bit than the Remove WAT Software. Could you please recommend what your thoughts are about this and could you please send me the link for the download to the one you think is best for my situation? Thank you .

    • Shoaib February 8, 2018 at 12:24 PM #

There are quite a few Windows Loader programs out there but unfortunately they do not work universally i.e. for all computers. In contrast, RemoveWAT is better and works in all machines running any build of Windows. I have sent you the download link.

  22. Petar November 11, 2016 at 5:06 PM #

Please send me the wat remover as soon as you can, I tried to find it myself, but ended up with tons of malware which I have trouble cleaning up now. 🙁

  23. Yury November 17, 2016 at 7:53 AM #

You must be tired of it by now, but I see You still respond -bravo! So, hey, can I have one of them, too? 😉

    • Shoaib November 17, 2016 at 11:24 AM #

No dear, I am not tired! Actually I love to help my readers. If I had any problem I would have deleted it. This post gets many comments daily which are not published because they are identical link-request type. However I send download link to all of them. So don’t worry ☺

Just commenting to test if comment system is fake or not, just want to make sure the good reviews are genuine

  25. Surya February 5, 2017 at 4:47 PM #

Is there a similar tool for MS Office Standard 2013 activation.???????

    • Shoaib February 10, 2017 at 2:48 PM #

      Yes, there is!

  26. Forrest Bailey April 23, 2017 at 4:52 PM #

    Hey Shoaib,
In order to shorten a long story, I will suffice in saying I hate people who assume they need your stuff more than you do. I lost a great deal of Windows, and Windows related software including WAT. (some legit, some not) At any rate, shortly afterwards fried the processor and motherboard in a 2009 hp tower that I had a great deal of $ and TLC invested in.
Now I am a disabled Iron Worker “Local 155” working with limited funds, and an Acer Aspire with a mere gig of ram and windows 7 starter that was given to me. Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, I feel somewhat constrained to say the least. Anyway…. if WAT will unlock 7 starter, will you please send a link. Windows starter allows NOTHING !!!!, not even a damn screen saver! Hence I would be much obliged Shoaib.

    Thanks, Forrest

    • Shoaib April 23, 2017 at 9:14 PM #

I want to make it clear that WAT Remover is a Windows activator i.e. if you have a Windows version which is asking for activation then WAT Remover will remove that buggy thing. However it looks like you have a Windows 7 Starter crap which comes bundled with most OEMs. It is already activated so WAT Remover will do nothing in such case. I would suggest you to upgrade your Windows 7 to Pro or ultimate version via Internet or else and then use WAT Remover to activate it. I have sent you the WAT Remover download link – check your mail!
      I hope this helps.

  27. Daniel August 10, 2017 at 11:43 PM #

Ive tried a few different ways to bring some kind of resolution to the ‘activation’ and the Windows ‘not genuine’ issue to no avail. The hacks I’ve tried were superficial and hence completely ‘cosmetic’ in my opinion. So here goes nothing…as I throw caution to the wind and respond, including submitting my email address as requested in the the hope of being sent a functional ‘Link’ to activator software that will ‘make windows genuine forever’ (I will believe that when I see it!). I mean how do i know the ’36 responses’ to WAT Remover et cetera are not fabrications and this entire exercise will turn out to be another dead end and dud? (ie. I’ve not seen this Blog/website before)…ergo, ‘here goes nothing!’.

    • Shoaib August 11, 2017 at 11:54 AM #

I have sent the link to the email address you provided. I hope it will clarify all your doubts.

  28. John August 14, 2017 at 10:24 PM #

    Hi Shoaib,

I have been reading your article and posts and replies. You are helping so many people. I have Windows 7 Ultimate which was installed on my machine when I bought it used (I have a Lenovo X61s).

I have done the slmgr -rearm a number of times and also the regedit fix changing 0 to 1 and am now getting the 0xC004F025 message saying “Access denied the required action requires elevated privileges.”

So many hassles over the past six months dealing with “This copies of Windows is not genuine” issue. So if WAT Remover will help me, thank you so much sending the link!

I really appreciate your help in this matter.

Thanks again and have a great day.

    Hello Shoaib,
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve been trying to make a dual boot mac for one piece of software that requires windows. Thank you in advance for all your efforts.

  30. Tom Garner December 14, 2017 at 9:58 PM #

Hello, if the WAT Remover is still available would you please send to me? Thanks in advance. I am running windows 8.1 from an update which shows the Activate Windows alert periodically after executing slmgr -rearm command. It also displays Windows 8.1 Pro Build 9600 above the taskbar tray.

  31. Pranay December 29, 2017 at 9:19 PM #

Pls send me the link for wat remover

    • Shoaib January 2, 2018 at 4:40 PM #

I have sent the download link, just check the mail. Honestly I am fed up uploading the file again and again because Microsoft sleuths get it deleted very quickly. I really wonder how they come to know about it 🙁

  32. Jacques December 31, 2017 at 3:00 PM #

I paid for my Windows 7 Professional, but due to modifications and tweaks I’ve made, I am constantly pestered by the notification that my Windows in not genuine. I’d greatly appreciate a means to end this disruption.

    • Shoaib January 2, 2018 at 4:36 PM #

Sent the link! Check your email 🙂
